This recall involves Sewing Machine Oil by Symak Co., Inc.

Tailorform Sewing Machine Oil is a fluid packaged in 18 ml transparent plastic container. The recalled product can be identified by the item number 0326 and the UPC 299681201794.

Somore Sewing Machine Oil is a fluid packaged in 18 ml transparent plastic container. The recalled product can be identified by the item number 1308 and the UPC 062532013088.

Hazard identified

Health Canada's auditing process has revealed that this product does not have the proper hazard labelling and child resistant caps, as required by Canadian law.

The lack of labelling and child-resistant packaging could result in misuse of this product and lead to serious illnesses or injuries.

Neither Symak Sales Co. Inc. nor Health Canada has received any reports of illnesses or injuries related to the use of this product.

Number sold

Approximately 7,157 of the recalled tailorform oil and 12,323 of the recalled somore oil were sold at various retail stores across Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from January 2009 to January 2010.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Canada (Tailorform) and China (Somore).
