Product description
This recall involves the Sears "Touch" ceramic font accent lamp. This is a 3-level touch lamp that is 15 inches (38cm) high and champagne-beige coloured. The lamp has a high fired swirl ceramic body with polished brass plated accents. The lamp shade consists of a pleated fabric.
The model number is 44395 053 and can be found on the customer's receipt.
Hazard identified
The recalled lamps can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
Sears Canada has received one reported incident with no injuries.
Health Canada has not any received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these lamps.
Number sold
Approximately 1,040 units of the recalled table lamps were sold at Sears Canada retail stores, online at www.sears.ca, and through the Sears Canada catalogue across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from January 2007 to December 2008.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lamps and return them to the nearest Sears Department store, where consumers may receive a full refund with a sales receipt or Sears Card statement, or the lowest selling price without a receipt.
