Product description
This recall involves Ultremo R bicycle tires by Schwalbe. The recalled tires have the words "Schwalbe" and "Ultremo R" printed on the sidewall of the tires. The recalled tires can be identified by model number "HS 380".
Hazard identified
The tire layers could separate, causing the inner tube to rupture and posing a fall hazard to riders.
Neither Moser Enterprises Inc. nor Health Canada has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these tires.
Number sold
Approximately 1,851 of the recalled tires were sold at Bicycle specialty stores in Canada, and on Schwalbe's website.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from January 2009 to July 2009.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Indonesia.
