Product description
This recall involves the SAHN Classic SH523 bicycle helmet. The helmet has an adjustable dial headband and user replaceable cushioning pads. The helmets were available in various colours in matte and gloss finish, and were offered in two sizes: S/M (53 to 57 centimetres) and L/XL (58 to 61 centimetres).
The model number and name can be found inside the helmet on a white sticker label.
Hazard identified
The helmets may not provide adequate protection during impact, posing a risk of a head injury in a fall.
Neither Health Canada nor SAHN Designs Inc. has received any consumer reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products. No incidents were reported in the United States.
Number sold
Approximately 1,600 units were sold in Canada, and approximately 2,000 units were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold between May 2013 and December 2015.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
