Product description
This recall involves the "S T U F F" and Paw Wall Hook Sets by Midwest-CBK Inc. The wall hooks were sold in the following three models:
- Model number 74641 consists of five separate wooden letters that spell out the word "S T U F F", with a Purple S, Red T, Orange U, Green F and Pink F.
- Model number 74642 consists of five separate wooden letters that spell out the word "S T U F F", with an Olive S, Blue T, Yellow U, White-striped F, and Blue F.
Attached to each letter of model number 74641 and 74642 is a metal hook with a wooden ball at the end. Each letter is approximately 10 centimetres (4 inches) long, 2 centimetres (¾ inches) wide and 25 centimetres (9 ¾ inches) tall. There is a label on the back of the letter "S" that displays the model number 74641 or 74642.
- Model number 65262 consists of four separate wooden paws of different colours: red, blue, green and pink.
Attached to each paw of model number 65262 is a wooden peg with a wooden ball at the end. The model number 65262 is displayed on the packaging.
Hazard identified
Paint on the metal hooks attached to the wooden letters and on the blue paw hooks contains concentrations of lead above the allowable limit. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Neither Health Canada nor Midwest-CBK Inc. has received reports of incidents or illnesses related to the use of these wall hooks.

Number sold
Approximately 44 units of the recalled wall hook sets were sold at various independent stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled letter wall hooks with model numbers 74641 and 74642 were sold from April 2009 to July 2010, and the paw wall hooks with the model number 65262 were sold from April 2009 to August 2010.
