Rossignol Nordic Ski Boots
Product description
This recall involves Rossignol X-IUM and X-11 nordic (cross-country) ski boots that were sold under the following model names: X-IUM World Cup Skate, X-IUM World Cup Classic, X-IUM World Cup Pursuit, X11 Skate, and X-IUM J Skate. The model name is printed on the upper boot. Boots included in this recall have a 5 or 6 digit lot number stamped in the right boot under the removable insole.
Ski boots without a lot number printed in the right boot under the removable insole are not included in this recall.
Hazard identified
The soles on the ski boots may separate from the upper boot during use, posing a fall hazard for users.
Rossignol is recalling these ski boots in cooperation with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Health Canada.
Neither Rossignol, Health Canada, nor the US CPSC has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these ski boots.
Number sold
Approximately 936 pairs of the recalled ski boots were sold in Canada and approximately 1,912 pairs were sold in the US.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from December 2007 to June 2009.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Romania.
