Hazard identified
The strap hook may unexpectedly detach from the treestand when the snap-hook assembly fails, posing a fall hazard to consumers.
The firm in the United States has received three reports of the snap-hook failing.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
Number sold
Approximately 300 of the recalled tree stands were distributed at retail stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled tree stands were sold from May 1, 2012 to September 1, 2012.
