Hazard identified
This voluntary recall is initiated by Dermtek Pharmaceuticals Ltd. as a precautionary measure due to possible contamination of the product by the bacterium Burkholderia cepacia.
Neither Health Canada nor Dermtek Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Approximately 7,185 units of the recalled product were distributed to Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold between April 20 and 24, 2012.
