Product description
This recall involves Fagor 61 centimetres (24 inches) wide refrigerators sold in stainless steel and black. "Fagor" is printed on the refrigerator's front door. The model and serial numbers are located inside the refrigerator door, on the left-hand side near the food storage drawers.
Hazard identified
The refrigerator's control board can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Fagor America Inc. has received 19 reports of incidents, including two reports of fires resulting in damage to the refrigerator and surrounding property. No injuries have been reported.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these refrigerators.
Number sold
Approximately 237 units of the recalled refrigerators were sold at specialty appliance stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold between July 2006 and May 2010.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Spain.
