Product description
This recall involves plush toys from the Stuffed Animal House RCMP Uniform line. The plush toy animals (bear, moose, beaver and raccoon) are dressed in an RCMP-style red jacket and are riding a black horse with coloured eyes. The toy is approximately 15 cm (6 inches) in height. Stuffed Animal House is printed on the white label on the plush toy.
Hazard identified
Testing by Health Canada has revealed that the eyes can detach from the horse and they pose a choking hazard to young children.
Health Canada has not received reports of any incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these recalled plush toys.
Number sold
Approximately 55,051 units of the recalled plush toys were sold in Canada primarily at airport, souvenir and gift shops.
Time period sold
The recalled plush toys were sold from 2003 to 2008.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
