Rattle Toy in 21-Piece Infant Gift Set
Product description
This recall involves the toy rattle that is included in a 21-piece infant gift set, sold under the brand name "Small Wonders". The rattle is in the shape of a set of keys. Two rattles are included in each gift set.
The gift sets are sold in three colour themes: yellow, blue, and pink. Other items included in the gift set include 7 bibs, a fork and spoon, brush and comb, and 8 washclothes.
The recalled gift sets can be identified by the following numbers: CA33484, style 22285, and UPC 627174222856.
Hazard identified
Testing by Health Canada had revealed that the key-shaped toy rattles can pose a choking hazard to young children. The tips of the keys are small enough that they can enter into and become lodged in a child's throat.
This toy does not meet the Canadian safety requirements for the size and shape of rattles.
Health Canada has not received reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this product.

Approximately 3,600 of the recalled products were sold at various retailers across Canada, including Winners and Bargain Shop stores.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from September 2006 to September 2009.
