Product description
This recall involves the Realspace Pro™ 9000 Series Mid-Back Multifunction Mesh Chair by Quantum. The recalled chair can be identified by SKU #510830.
The Realspace Pro™ Mesh Guest Chair is not included in this recall.
Hazard identified
The bolts attaching the seatback on the recalled chairs can loosen and detach, posing a fall and injury hazard to consumers.
Raynor has received reports of 32 seatback detachments and 13 injuries involving bumps and bruises related to this recalled chair.
Neither Raynor nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians as related to the use of these chairs.
Number sold
The number of recalled products sold in Canada is not known. The chairs were sold exclusively at Office Depot stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from May 2008 to August 2009.
