Product description
This recall involves the Pumptec Electronic Motor Controller for 115v/230v submersible motors rated 1/3 to 1 1/2 HP with model number 5800020600 and date codes of 06F45 through 09L45. The model number and date code can be found on the nameplate label located on the right-hand side of the enclosure.
Hazard identified
In certain applications, the product label may lose adhesion and curl up at the edges, exposing certain circuitry which could be hazardous to consumers.
Neither Franklin Electric Co. nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
Number sold
Approximately 4,977 of the recalled products were sold at various retailers across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from June 2006 to November 2009.
Place of origin
Manufactured in the United States.
