Product description
This recall involves the Pull Along Dachshund Toy, by Soft Wood. The toy is a dog that is approximately 30cm in length and can be pulled by a string. The string is made of two pieces: one is attached to the product and the other is detachable. Each piece has a red cap that interlocks to connect the two pieces into one string.
The body of the dog is made up of 5 sections, with each section made of a different type and colour of fabric. The head of the dog has 2 floppy ears. There are 2 wooden rods with 2 wooden wheels attached to each rod.
The recalled toy can be identified by item number 831SW-1214 and UPC 8851285212143.
Hazard identified
Some products offered on the Canadian market do not have a knot on the detachable piece of string and the piece attached to the product, which allows the red caps at the end of the pieces to be easily released. These small components pose a choking hazard to young children.
Health Canada has received one report of the red cap being released from the toy.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately take the recalled pull toy away from children, and make a knot at both ends of the detachable piece of string and the piece attached to the product before allowing children to use it again.
