This recall involves the Powertec Workout bench with model numbers: WB-UB11 and WB-MP11. Colour: Black.
Hazard identified
The weld on the backrest adjustment bracket can break due to heavy weight or long term use causing the user to fall and sustain injury.
Neither Health Canada nor the Powertec has received any reports of incidents in Canada. There have been no reported incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these workout benches..
Number sold
Approximately 159 of the recalled workout benches were sold in Canada.
Approximately 565 of the recalled workout benches were sold in the US.
Time period sold
The recalled work out benches were sold from October 2011 to June 2012.
