Product description
This recall involves PowerLine® Inverters that can be identified as follows:
- Power Line 0900-90 (200 Watt): an inverter with two AC outlets and one USB power port that allows users to power two household devices and one USB powered device from their vehicle power socket. The device is black and can be identified by the UPC 027005900906.
- Power Line 0900-93 (140 Watt): an inverter with one AC outlet and USB power port that allows users to power a household device and a USB powered device from their vehicle power socket. The device is black and can be identified by the UPC 027005900937.
- Power Line 0900-88 (75 Watt): an inverter with one AC outlet that allows users to power their household device from their vehicle power socket. The device is black and can be identified by the UPC 027005900883.
Hazard identified
The recalled products have not been evaluated and are not certified to Canadian standards, and may pose a safety hazard to consumers.
Neither Original Power, Inc. nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of the unapproved products in Canada.
Number sold
Approximately 37,173 units of the unapproved products were sold exclusively at Wal-Mart Corporation across Canada.
Time period sold
The unapproved products were sold from May 2008 to July 2011.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
