Affected products

Power foundations or adjustable bases for mattresses

Product description

This recall involves power foundations which are motorized bed frames that are controlled by handheld remotes, which enable the head and/or the foot of the bed mattresses to be moved up and down. The recalled model name is Titanium and the handheld remote is labeled Interflex.

Since adjustable bed bases look very similar, the easiest way to determine if your adjustable bed base is included in this recall is to compare your handheld remote with the picture below. If your handheld remote has the same buttons, the same figure 8 shape, and the same Interflex label as depicted in the below photo, then your bed base is included in the recall.

No other power foundations are involved in this recall.

Hazard identified

Electrical components in the motor control board can fail and short causing overheating, which poses a fire hazard.

No injuries or property damage have been reported in Canada. However, the firm has received 29 complaints of overheating in the electronic motor control board located in housing underneath the deck of the power foundation.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these power foundations.
