Product description
This recall involves Poulan Pro Snow Throwers sold by Husqvarna Canada Corp. The snow throwers are propelled by gasoline engines. The snow throwers have 12.24 foot pound torque engines and are bright black with Poulan Pro decals on both sides.
The recalled product can be identified by the model designation number PP265E27 and the PNC 961980028, which are on the data plate located on the right side frame.
Hazard identified
The carburetor can fail in some units allowing a gasoline leak, therein posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Neither Husqvarna Canada Corp. nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these snow throwers.
Number sold
Approximately 2,000 of the recalled snow throwers were sold at Home Depot, other mass merchants and retailers across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled snow throwers were sold from September 2009 to February 2010.
Place of origin
Manufactured in the United States.

What you should do
Consumers should stop using the product immediately and follow these instructions:
- Drain the fuel tank to prevent an unexpected leak or
- Turn the fuel shut-off valve to the closed position (Refer to page 10 of Operator Manual) and return the unit to a servicing dealer as soon as possible for a complete repair and replacement free of charge.
