Affected products
This recall involves PNW Components Loam Pedal Gen 2 aluminum alloy mountain bike pedal. The pedal is a platform style (non-clip) pedal and can be identified by a "Tectonic" logo laser etched onto the pedal body on the left corner, on the same side as the threaded axle. The pedals were sold in silver, black, orange, purple, and green colours.
Issue
The pedal axles can crack, causing the pedal to detach from the crank arm, thereby posing a fall hazard to the rider.
As of January 14, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
