Product description

This recall involves a plush brown teddy bear sold exclusively at Dollarama stores. The bear has hard black eyes and a brown bow around its neck. It measures approximately 27 cm (10.5 inches) in height, and is identified by item number 08-0804848.

Hazard identified

Testing by Health Canada has revealed that the eyes can detach from the bear; these small parts pose a choking hazard to young children.

Neither Health Canada nor Dollarama have received any reports of injuries or incidents to Canadians related to the use of this toy.

Number sold

Approximately 140,777 of the recalled teddy bears were sold at Dollarama stores across Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled teddy bears were sold from January 2008 to December 2008.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.
