Product description
This recall involves the plush rabbit with pouch toy by Daiso. The toy is a plush rabbit with stuffed head and arms, a pink zippered pouch for a body and a short loop at the back of the product which could be used for hanging. The plush rabbit is approximately 27 cm in length and the eyes on the rabbit head are made of rigid plastic. The plush toy is identified by UPC 494767893029.
Plush rabbits with painted black eyes instead of hard plastic eyes are not involved in this voluntary recall.
Hazard identified
Testing by Health Canada has revealed that the eyes of the toy can detach; these small parts pose a choking hazard to children.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this toy.
Number sold
Approximately 22 of the plush rabbit toys were sold at Daiso in Richmond, British Columbia.
Time period sold
The recalled toys were sold from November 2008 to December 2008.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
