Product description
This recall involves a small stuffed plush toy covered with multi-coloured shaggy fur from DK Canada Trading Ltd. The eyes of the toy are made of black rigid plastic and the nose has a rigid plastic orange bead at its end. The toy makes a squeaking sound when it is shaken. It measures approximately 12 cm in height and approximately 6 cm in diameter. A small suction cup is attached to the head of the toy by a short cord. The product is identified as item number DK 3000.
Hazard identified
Testing by Health Canada has revealed that the eyes and nose of the plush toy may become detached, posing a choking hazard to young children.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these plush toys.
Number sold
Approximately 285 units of the plush toys were sold at various retail stores in British Columbia and Alberta.
Time period sold
The recalled plush toys were sold from January 2006 to November 2008.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
