Product description
This recall involves the Playhouse Disney "Handy Manny" Tool Set toy. The toy is an eight-piece plastic tool set that includes a tool box, hammer, saw, pliers, wrench, tape measure and two screwdrivers. The name "Handy Manny" is embossed on one side of the tool box. The toy can be identified by either of the following UPC codes: 405144100614 or 422147400633.
Hazard identified
The eyes on the tools can detach; these small parts pose a choking hazard to young children.
The Disney Store has received three reports of detached eyes, including two where children started to choke on the pieces.
Neither Health Canada nor Disney Store have received any reports of injuries related to the use of this toy.
Number sold
Approximately 516 of the recalled toys were sold at Disney Store locations across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled toys were sold from October 2007 to January 2009.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
