Product description
This recall involves the Pier 1 Imports Basic Glass Knobs (sold in clear, teal, pink and green), Kira Glass Knobs (sold in aquamarine, champagne and silver) and Facets Glass Knob (clear). The knobs are made from glass and affixed to a threaded stem. This recall does not include any other decorative knobs sold by Pier 1 Imports.

Hazard identified
The glass knobs can break when over tightened or when pressure is applied, exposing a sharp edge, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.
Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
Pier 1 Imports has received 7 reports of injuries in the United States caused by the glass knobs breaking either during installation or while in use.
Number sold
Approximately 17,746 of the recalled glass knobs were sold in Canada exclusively at Pier 1 Import stores. Approximately 119,666 of the recalled glass knobs were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from September 2011 through October 2016.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the glass knobs and return them to any Pier 1 Imports store for a full refund or merchandise credit.
