Affected products

This recall involves the PAX AURLAND wardrobe glass mirror door, model number 101-604-51. The name 'PAX AURLAND', IKEA, the supplier number (12650) and date stamp (YYWW) is printed on the rear mirror door on the lower edge.

The mirror door is made of foil-coated particleboard and the mirror of glass. The mirror is secured with metal fastenings at the top and bottom. The mirror door measures about 50 centimetres (19.5 inches) wide and 236 centimetres (93 inches) long.

Issue

The mirror can detach unexpectedly from the wardrobe door, fall and shatter, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.

IKEA has received reports of 14 incidents with one incident reporting a minor injury in Europe. No incidents have been reported in Canada or the United States.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this product.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled door and return it to an IKEA store for a refund.
