Product description

This recall involves the Patton utility heater. The recalled products can be identified with a date code that falls between A186DH and A322DH. The date code can be found on the side of the plug's prong.

Products with a date code outside of the range indicated above, or with a round green sticker on the silver rating label (found on the back of the product), are not included in this recall.

Hazard identified

The recalled unit may overheat and cause the outer plastic housing to melt and smoke.

Neither Canadian Tire nor Health Canada have reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.

Number sold

The number of recalled units sold in Canada is not known. The recalled units were sold at Canadian Tire stores.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from September 2008 to June 2009.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.
