Issue
It was determined that these products contained prohibited ingredients as per Health Canada’s Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist (‘Hotlist’).
Dioxane and Benzyl Cyanide are prohibited ingredients on the Hotlist. Dioxane is prohibited due to its possible carcinogenic effect. Benzyl cyanide is prohibited due to the potential release of cyanide.
As of February 10, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and dispose of it in regular household garbage. Customer enquiries and refund requests will be handled directly by Patchwork and Pine Inc.
