Northern Transition Children’s Jackets with Waist Drawstrings
Product description
This recall involves children’s fleece-lined, hooded jackets with a drawstring at the waist. The jackets come in a variety of colors and in sizes 2 through to 12.
Hazard identified
The jackets have a drawstring at the waist that could become snagged or caught in small spaces or vehicle doors, posing a significant entanglement hazard to children.
Neither Northern Transition nor Health Canada has received reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these jackets.
Number sold
An unknown number of the recalled jackets were sold at Northern Transition in Centre Square Mall in Yellowknife, the Yellowknife Airport Gift Shop and online at www.northerntransition.com.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from approximately January 2000 to March 2016.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Canada.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately remove the drawstring from the jackets to eliminate the hazard.
