Product description
This recall involves Aqua-Tek Mega Clean products sold in a white 1 L bottle with a spray trigger and can be identified by UPC 69687 15200.
This recall does NOT apply to Mega Clean products sold in 4 L jugs and 20 L pails.
Hazard identified
The recalled products are not packaged in a child-resistant container as required by Canadian Law. The lack of child-resistant packaging could result in unintentional exposure to this product and lead to serious illnesses, injuries and death.
Neither Health Canada nor Nortek Inc. has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
Number sold
Approximately 13,800 units of the Mega Clean with the spray trigger have been sold in Canada since 2009.
Time period sold
The Mega Clean product with the spray trigger was sold in Canada from May 2009 to January 2014.

Consumers should immediately place the products in a safe place, locked up out of the reach of children and contact Nortek Inc. at 1-866-670-2958 (English) or 1-514-757-0117 (French) or email to coordinate a replacement.
Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
