Product description

This recall involves Mustang and Corvette-branded 1/10 scale radio controlled vehicles. The Mustang branded car has a "Mustang GT" sticker on the vehicle and is identified by product #50-4009. The Corvette branded car has a "Corvette" sticker on the vehicle and is identified by product #50-4009. The cars come in various colours.

Hazard identified

The product may short circuit during use, potentially producing smoke and overheating; this poses a hazard to users if they touch the product.

Canadian Tire has received one report of the product short-circuiting, with no reported injuries.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these cars.

Number sold

Approximately 55,000 of the recalled toys were sold at Canadian Tire stores across Canada.

The recalled products were sold from October 2009 to June 2010.
