Product description

The MSR 50th anniversary fuel bottle is white with predominantly blue writing with some black writing. It has a capacity of 600ml. The UPC is 040818130285.

The bottles were given away free with the purchase of one of five qualifying MSR liquid fuel stoves.

Hazard identified

The recalled product does not meet the labelling requirements for consumer chemical products under the Consumer Chemical and Container Regulations, 2001.

The product lacks the bilingual warnings and hazard information required for flammable products sold in Canada. These omissions could present a significant risk that may result in serious harm.

As of August 1, 2019, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports or injury.

Approximately 138 units of the affected product were given away in Canada.

Consumers should return the bottle to a MEC location for a free replacement.

For more information, consumers can contact MEC at 1-888-847-0770 Monday to Friday, 7am to 8pm PST, Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 6pm PST.
