This recall involves MotoMaster Farm Jack, 3-Ton, 48-inch, with product number 009-1092. Products were manufactured in 2018 and 2019. The affected jacks can be identified by the product number and batch code identified on the product.

Hazard identified

The base of the farm jack may collapse under certain load conditions, potentially resulting in the jack and any equipment to fall on a person working in close proximity.

As of July 29, 2019, the company has received 2 reported incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 13,000 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from January 2018 to June 2019.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled farm jack and contact Canadian Tire for an exchange or return.

For more information, consumers may call the Canadian Tire call centre at 1-800-387-8803 from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
