Product description
This recall involves solid gel chafing fuel for indoor or outdoor use, sold under the brand name "JR". The fuel may be used to heat buffet tables or fondue pots, for camping, or for other activities. The product has a label with the words "2.5 hour methanol gel" and has the UPC code 61294100071.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's auditing process revealed that the recalled product does not have the mandatory warning labelling required under Canadian law.
The product lacks the symbol and warnings required for flammable products. The lack of labelling information including appropriate warnings could to lead to serious risks.
Health Canada has not received any reports of illnesses or injuries related to the use of this product.

Approximately 905,400 units of the recalled products were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from October 2001 to March 2009.
