Product description
This recall involves Meguiar's Hot ShineTM Tire Spray G12024C with UPC 070382120245. This product is a consumer automotive appearance product. The product is sold in a clear 24 fl oz (approximately 709 ml) bottle. The product label is black and includes the gold Meguiar's logo at the top. The words Hot ShineTM Tire Spray are prominently featured. The product has a black pump spray nozzle.
This recall does NOT include the US version of Meguiar's Hot ShineTM Tire Spray G12024 with UPC 070382241209, sold to consumers in the United States.
Hazard identified
The recalled products do not meet the labelling requirements for consumer chemical products required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.
This lack of labelling information could result in unintentional exposure to the product and lead to serious illness, injury or death.
As of November 6, 2019, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no incidents or injuries have been reported.
Number sold
Approximately 475,000 units of the affected products were sold at various retail stores in Canada.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from January 2014 to November 2019.
