Product description
This recall involves the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Electric Food and Bottle Warmer. The recalled product has model number 1072, a six character batch code starting with a number and ending in 'GY', and UL certification file number E225323. The affected products were sold on their own and as part of kits containing a number of other, unaffected, products.

Hazard identified
The warmers can overheat and catch fire, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this product.
Mayborn USA Inc. has received one report of a consumer incident related to this product in Canada, which resulted in a minor burn to a consumer's hand. In the United States, Mayborn USA Inc. has received five reports of bottle and food warmers overheating, melting, smoking and catching on fire, which resulted in some reported property damage.
Number sold
Approximately 17,500 affected products were sold in Canada, 255,000 were sold in the United States, and 7000 were sold in Mexico through various retailers.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold in Canada from December 2013 through April 2016. In the United States, the recalled products were sold from July 2011 to April 2016.
