Product description

This recall involves the Maruson 1000 VA power bar with 8 outlets in total, 4 outlets having automatic voltage regulation (AVR) and 4 with surge protection. The device can be identified by the brand Maruson written on the product.

The power bar has microprocessor digital control technology, 5 step voltage regulation, overload protection circuit breaker and 3 LED lights.

Hazard identified

The recalled devices have not been evaluated for safety against any Canadian standards and do not bear any recognized certification mark in Canada.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this device.

Number sold

Approximately 55 of the recalled products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from March 2008 to March 2009.
