Magnetic Plush Animals by Toy Land Company
Product description
This recall involves magnetic plush animals made by Toy Land Company. The animals are approximately 8 centimetres (3 inches) long, have magnets in their hands and feet, and come in the shape of a variety of animals, including rabbits, lions, ducks, giraffes, and dogs.
The recalled plush animals have item number Q5PT270 or Q5PT271 (above the bar code) and the name "Toy Land Company" (below the bar code) written on the cardboard hang tag that is attached to the plush animal.
Hazard identified
Field testings conducted by Health Canada have determined that the eyes on the magnetic plush animals can detach easily; these small parts pose a choking hazard to young children.
Neither Toy Land Company nor Health Canada has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these toys.

Number sold
Approximately 3,460 of the recalled magnetic plush animals were sold at a variety of stores, including dollar stores, across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from January 2009 to April 2010.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately take the recalled magnetic plush animals away from children and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
