Product description
This recall involves Madeline Bunk Beds sold by Pottery Barn Kids. The white bed is made of wood and medium-density fiberboard. It has guardrails on either side of the top bunk and a ladder that attaches to the side of the beds.
Hazard identified
The end structure of the bunk bed can pose an entrapment hazard to young children if a child's neck becomes caught in the opening between the post and the decorative moulding.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these beds.
Number sold
Approximately 22 of the recalled beds were sold exclusively through the Pottery Barn Kids stores in Toronto and in Vancouver.
Time period sold
The recalled beds were sold from July 2009 to April 2010.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Vietnam.
