Product description

This recall involves the Luminus Brand compact fluorescent lamp identified by model number P-17713 with date codes FL06, DA07 and LA07.

Hazard identified

The product does not comply with UL's safety requirements and is not eligible to bear the UL Mark. The lamp may overheat and melt the enclosure exposing live parts, posing a risk of fire and/or electric shock.

Conglom Inc. has received four reports of incidents with these compact fluorescent lamps, but none resulted in injuries or property damage.

Health Canada has received one report of an incident related to the use of these compact fluorescent lamps.

Number sold

Approximately 120,000 units of the affected products were sold at various retailers, home centres and bargain stores across Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from June 2006 to April 2007.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.
