Losi NiMH Start-Up Combo Charger
Product description
The Losi NiMH Start-Up Combo Charger is black and measures 10 centimetres x 5 centimetres (4" x 2"). The model number is LOSB9904 and is printed on the back of the battery package. A Losi logo sticker is on the front of the charger, along with another sticker with the instruction: "Use only with 7.2 V NiMH Batteries 1500mAh or higher." On the back of the charger is a sticker with voltage and current ratings for input (100-240VAC, 1.0A) and output (8.5V, 3A).
Hazard identified
The charger and battery can give off too much heat, posing a burn and fire hazard to consumers.
Horizon Hobby has received eight reports of the batteries being too hot. No injuries have been reported.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these chargers.
Number sold
Approximately 25 units of the recalled chargers were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled Chargers were sold from January 2011 to March 2011.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled charger and contact Horizon Hobby for a refund of the retail value.
