Limoss lithium ion battery power packs
Product description
This recall involves Limoss AKKU-PACK rechargeable lithium ion battery power packs sold as accessories for Palliser, Sinca, Flexsteel, and Best Home Furnishings power recliners and lift chairs. They are used to power the chair when an electrical outlet is not available. Recalled battery power packs are black and measure 6 inches long by 3 inches wide. The following information is printed on a white sticker on the bottom of the unit: Limoss Li-ion Battery Pack, Model Number ZB-B1800, Match Code MC 160, and Date Codes ranging from 1-1-2011 through 6-14-2012.
Hazard identified
The battery power packs can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of the recalled battery packs.
Limoss US, LLC has received two reports of the battery pack overheating in the United States, including one incident that resulted in undetermined fire damage. No injuries were reported.
Number sold
Approximately 2,545 of the recalled battery packs were sold in Canada and the United States by authorized Palliser, Sinca, Flexsteel, and Best Home Furnishings dealers and online at amazon.com and other websites.
Time period sold
The recalled battery packs were sold from November 2011 through June 2012.
