Product description
This recall involves the Spare 10,000 mAh Power Bank. The brand of the product is Leedsworld, Inc. The product is battery-powered and white in colour. The product item number is 7121-18WH and the recall currently includes products with lot number, PO:1813582.The item number and lot number are displayed on the back of the power bank. The power bank was available as a promotional item and may or may not be decorated with artwork or various company logos.
Hazard identified
A defect in the short circuit protection of the power bank may cause it to overheat, posing a burn and fire hazard.
As of January 8, 2020, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received one report of overheating causing the product to ignite a fire; no injury was reported.
Number sold
Approximately 445 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and approximately 4700 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from July 2019 to September 2019.

The recalled product should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements for the disposal of lithium batteries.
