Kichler Krystal Ice Ceiling Light Fixture
Product description
The recall involves two models of the Kichler Krystal Ice flush mount ceiling light fixtures. The fixtures have a square or a cylindrical metal cage shade with a chrome finish and clear crystal accents. The fixtures were sold with four 40-watt G9 tungsten halogen bulbs.

The model numbers and "Kichler Home Center" are located on the inside of the canopy.
Hazard identified
The 40-watt halogen bulbs sold with the ceiling fixtures can overheat the electrical supply wires in the ceiling, posing a fire hazard. The fixtures also pose a fire hazard in homes with older wiring, even if used with lower wattage bulbs.
Neither Health Canada nor The L.D. Kichler Co. has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these products in Canada.
In the United States, the L.D. Kichler Co. has received no reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
Number sold
Approximately 1900 units were sold in Canada, and approximately 28,000 units of the affected models were distributed in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled light fixtures were sold in Canada from March 2015 to July 2016 at Lowes Canada and various lighting showrooms across Canada.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected Kichler Krystal Ice Ceiling Light Fixture and contact the L.D. Kichler Co. to receive information on how to repair the affected product or obtain a full refund.
