Product description
This recall involves the following lamps by Pottery Barn Kids.
- Clay Task Lamp: model number 2467553
- Montgomery Task Lamp: model number 9691783
- Montgomery Floor Lamp: model number 9691775.
All of the lamps have bronze-coloured finishes. The name "Pottery Barn" and the model number are printed on the bottom of the lamp.
Hazard identified
The electrical wire that runs through the lamps can be pinched or severed at the lamp's adjustable joint, posing a risk of electric shock to consumers.
Pottery Barn Kids has received one report of a consumer who received an electrical shock when she touched the lamp.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these lamps.
Number sold
Approximately 72 units of the recalled lamps were sold at Pottery Barn Kids stores in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from July 2009 to September 2010.
Place of origin
Manufactured in India.
