Product description

This recall is for all spray cans containing KitchenWorxTM. There are two differently shaped 400 g spray cans and both can be identified by UPC 716053479747.

Hazard identified

A defect which can prevent the KitchenWorxTM contents from spraying out as been identified. The defect is not detectable unless the consumer attempts to spray the product. Failure of the spray to deploy at a time when needed for fire suppression or fire prevention can pose a risk of a fire.

As of November 6, 2020, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or elsewhere.

Number sold

Approximately 450 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from June 2020 to September 2020.

What you should do

Consumers should return the spray can to the place of purchase for a refund or discard according to municipal hazardous waste guidelines the spray can. Consumers should not keep, store, or give away unused spray cans for fire suppression or fire prevention purposes, in the event the spray can may not deploy the product.
