Product description

This recall involves Bordeaux Collection King, Queen, Full and Twin-size sleigh beds with wooden headboards and footboards in a cherry finish. Each bed also has two matching wooden side rails. "Bordeaux" and the item number are printed on a white label on the back of the headboard and foot board.

Hazard identified

The hardware holding the headboard and footboard can loosen or detach, posing a fall hazard.

The firm has received one report of a Florida man who injured his foot when the bed's footboard detached.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents related to the use of the product.

Number sold

Approximately 1,350 of the recalled Bordeaux Collection sleigh beds with wooden headboards and footboards in a cherry finish were sold in Canada.

Approximately 20,800 of the recalled Bordeaux Collection King, Queen, Full and Twin size sleigh beds with wooden headboards and footboards in a cherry finish were sold in various furniture stores the United States.

Time period sold

The recalled Bordeaux Collection sleigh beds were sold from August 2009 to April 2012 in both Canada and the United States.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Malaysia.
