This recall involves Kid Casters children’s Tangle-FREE practice fishing rod and reel combos. The model number is located on the bottom of the rod near the handle, and the lot code is located on the base of the rod on the bottom when oriented for use for all models.

Issue
The ceramic guide at the tip of the fishing rods contains lead in excess of the allowable limit established by the Consumer Products Containing Lead Regulations.
Lead is highly toxic, especially to children. A range of serious health effects have been associated with exposure to lead and cadmium, including anemia, vomiting, diarrhea, heart and immune system. In extreme cases, there have been deaths.
As of April 11, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or the United States

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fishing rods and contact Lil Anglers to arrange for return of the product and a refund or replacement.
