Product description
This recall involves the following K2 inline skates, all of which were manufactured for the 2019 season. The Model Name is on the label found on the tongue of the skates. The Root Item number can be found as part of the product identification sticker on the product packaging.

Hazard identified
The skate's axle may become loose or a portion of the axle may sheer off during use, posing a potential fall hazard.
As of June 10, 2019, the company has received one report of a loose axle with no reported injury in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 4 reports of incidents and no reports of injury.
Within the European Union, there have been at least 30 reports of either loose axles or hardware shearing off and one reported injury.

Approximately 740 pairs of affected skates were sold in Canada and approximately 859 pairs of affected skates were sold in the United States.

The affected products were sold from January 2019 to May 2019.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled skates and contact K2 Corporation of Canada for a free repair. The recalled skates may be sent directly to K2 or the point of purchase for repair.
