This recall involves Johnsen's Brake Parts Cleaner sold in a green pressurized container with a black cap. The product is identified by item number 8242844 and the following UPC numbers: 000000000008242844, 000000039101002415 and 000000039101024141 part number 2414F.
Hazard identified
Testing by Health Canada has revealed that this product does not meet the requirements under Canadian law with respect to flame projection.
The length of the flame projection generated by this product exceeds the Canadian regulated limit thereby posing a potential fire hazard.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Approximately 10,107 units of the recalled brake parts cleaners were sold at Princess Auto retail stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled brake parts cleaners were sold from November 2008 to December 2008.
Place of origin
