Product description

This recall involves Jetboil Personal Cooking Systems with Pot Support and Stabilizer, which are stoves often used during outdoor camping. The recalled stoves can be identified by product code BDL003.

Hazard identified

A tight valve attached to the stove's fuel source can allow gas to leak, posing a fire hazard to users.

Jetboil has received five reports of fires resulting from leaking fuel, with no injuries.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these outdoor camping stoves.

Number sold

Approximately 250 units of the recalled products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled stoves were sold from July 2008 to November 2008.

Place of origin

Manufactured in the United States.
